Route 66 Red Carpet Corridor featuring Rt. 66 Smoke Out & Springfest Celebration

Dwight Springfest, held on Saturday, is the place to find local talent, great music, craft vendors, and exciting games. The Route 66 Smoke Out, which runs Friday through Saturday, is a KCSB-sanctioned BBQ competition that grows with more competitive teams each year. For those following the Red Carpet Corridor, our historic Texaco Welcome Center and Museum is open all weekend long.

Explore rows of classic cars on this night filled with music, local vendors, great food, and raffles. If you own a classic car, enter it into the competition. Held on the fourth Saturday in June from 4-9 PM.

Get together with family and friends for an afternoon and evening of fun and celebration. Games, bounce houses, food, and most importantly fireworks make for a fun day! The event is held at the Dwight Grade School, and the fireworks start at 9 PM.

One of the favorite weekends in Dwight. On the third weekend in September, Dwight fills with visitors for a carnival featuring rides, food, and games; great entertainment; and streets lined with craft and flea market vendors.

Small Business Saturday is celebrated across the country on the Saturday after Thanksgiving as a way to encourage holiday shoppers to support small, diverse businesses. Dwight businesses participate with special services or deals. A special drawing awards prizes to those who visit participating businesses on this day.
